Educational scope: Laboratory documentation, analytical methods, and research recordkeeping only.
Define what was measured
A purity figure should be tied to an analytical procedure. Chromatographic purity, chemical content, water-adjusted content, and identity are related but distinct concepts.
Ask for the analytical context
Method conditions, detector response, integration decisions, system suitability, and sample preparation affect the reported result. The certificate should make the scope of the number understandable.
Use multiple records together
A responsible review considers the batch certificate, identity evidence, material labeling, and any relevant content or water result. One headline percentage should not replace the complete record.
