Verify the shipment
Compare the delivered item with the order record. Confirm product name, amount, container count, supplier, and visible condition before the material enters general inventory.
Capture identifiers
Record the lot or batch number, SKU when used, received date, and document identifier. Save the accompanying analytical record in a location that can be retrieved by batch.
Assign storage and status
Place the item in the verified storage location and record its status, such as received, quarantined, approved for a defined research workflow, or awaiting documentation.
